I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 (Verizon version) currently running Kit Kat 4.4.2 and I would like to update to Lollipop using an ROM. I live in Germany currently and have a Vodafone sim card for use in Europe. My question is two parts: Is the ROM update specific to a carrier (ie. Verizon) or can the update be installed regardless of sim card is in the phone. AND if so, after i install the ROM with the Verizon sim card, will it cause the phone or OS to malfunction when i switch back to the Vodafone sim card. Thanks for all your help!

The Verizon version, with CDMA radios, won't work on a GSM carrier. Totally different hardware. (And I suspect that a GSM ROM [the Lollypop ROM you're planning to put in there] won't work at all on a CDMA phone. [British cellphone networks are GSM.])
