    My wife had her droid 4 and the battery was dying really fast so I bought her a newer Verizon phone online at eBay is the newer phone still covered by the Insurance when I activated it and still paying for the insurance

    If your insurance is via the carrier then probably not. Square Trade might be an option for you though. They offer third party warranties that stick with your account, not the device, and replacement cost is much cheaper
