How do I stop repetitive battery charged notifications?

After the phone is charged completely, my phone keeps telling me it's charged every 5 minutes and it's incredibly annoying. How do I stop this? I've read other threads and feel like this question has been asked but never properly answered.

I have turned on "daydream", this alleviates the notifications. But now I have to live with the colors (turned the phone upside down). This seems like something that shouldn't have happened, and something they should fix.:-\
