I have purchased tablets for my work crews and have spent numerous hours installing apps and setting them up the way i feel they will be most efficient. Is there an option to lock the apps in place so that they cant undo all of my work and time? I'd also like to limit their ability to download apps and software. Is there a way of blocking them other than setting up a restricted user?

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablets? Some stock launchers have the option to lock the homescreen setup, or you could install a 3rd party launcher like Nova Launcher, which has this feature (although you'd have to set up the homescreens all over again). Regarding the ability to block app installation, whose Google Play Store account is on the tablets? If you're in control of the account, then you can go into the Play Store settings on each tablet and turn on Parental Controls, which would require a PIN to be entered for any download.
