my s5 is locked after trying to log in using finger print

When I setup my samsung s5 I only used my finger print to unlock. I did not setup an alternative password. My phone is now locked after trying to unlock it using my finger print several times. The screen is locked and I can only enter alternate password which I never setup. How can I unlock it without a total reset.

I don't know how it would be possible to use fingerprint unlocking without setting an alternate password - it would be madness if it were - so I suggest that you contact the manufacturer.
