Google Maps location keeps changing

[AC Question]

I enter an address into Google Maps.
I then hit my location ans pan out so I can see my location in reference to the dropped pin.
I then move the map to show my location and I zoom closer to see the street names as I drive.
As soon as I pick up the phone and slightly tilt the phone, it scrolls to the dropped pin and zooms in. I then have to zoom out and find my location again in reference to the pins. It is very frustrating, when I am trying to see streets as i drive towards the dropped pin.
How do i stop this from happening so I can tilt phone and keep map showing MY location and not the dropped pin?

You can either use the Google Maps Navigation feature or when this happens, hit the GPS location button (bottom right of the maps screen) to have the screen zoom into your current location on the map.
