There seems to be a lot of issues with Android users having their storage space seemingly disappear for different reasons. I've looked at many of these threads and have still not found a solution for my problem.
I have a Moto G2 8GB with Android 5.0.2. I know that doesn't mean I'll have 8GB worth of storage. My phone's Storage menu says I have 5.51GB of Total Space.
Adding up all the space used by everything that shows up in my phone's Storage menu comes to 4.15GB.
My Available Space is 512MB.
Where is my missing 800+MB? I do not have root access, and have not installed any ROMs. Is there a comprehensive guide to finding and deleting all caches and other temp files/folders that aren't needed by the system but maybe aren't deleted with the normal cache clearing action?
