BLU android 4.0 not charging the screen stays on for 5 sec and cits off.

The phone is a BLU 4.0. I first tried to reset my phone contacts and reboot after that my phone went blank. I pressed on the power botton and volume up and down at the same time and a few setting came up directing me what to press then the android was laying on its back saying no command went through and cleared all information got it to work now it would not charge. The screen comes on with charging battery only for about 5 seconds then cuts off again. The power botton is not turning on the phone itself and my phone has no red light saying it is receiving charge.
