Ignoring the 40-80 percent rule

[AC Question]

I generally charge my battery when it falls to about 30-35 percent and then charge it fully to 100 percent. Will this shorten the life of the battery? Basically, I want to know is it ok to charge to 100 percent each time, rather than only 80 percent? I never drain it below 20 percent. Thanks.
