S. Planner closing when .vcs calendar appointment tries to access.

I regularly send .vcs calendar appointments to my mobile from my PC. These used to be processed fine, but for the last month or so the S. Planner closes and will not process the appointment. I thought it may be resolved in the next update - but this does not seem to be the case. Can anyone suggest how to resolve this problem?
