Hey all. I was thinking about buying an SD card for my new galaxy S7 and forcing it to use marshmallows adoptable storage feature. My only concern is that I don't want to slow down the phone by doing so (I know that the internal storage is quite fast). I would like to know how fast the SD card must be and/or which micro SD cards would be a good choice for this purpose. Thanks!

Using any SD over internal memory will be slower but I highly doubt you'll notice the difference. Meanwhile, online reviews can help you pick an SD. There are several sources for SD to phone usage, speed recommendations, along with other info.

Any card you get will be slower than internal storage. I would just buy the best size/fastest speed card your budget allows.

You may want to read about the Adoptable Storage before making the jump.

Here is AC's great article with info: Inside Marshmallow: Adoptable storage | Android Central

This is technically for Motorola but there is some great info on Adoptable Storage: https://motorola-global-portal.custh...34/p/1449,9582
