Touch screen not responding to touch. I can run through functions using buttons. Everything checks out "ok" but touch screen doesn't function.

Hello and welcome to Android Central forums!

Was the phone dropped, or receive liquid damage? It sounds as though the touch display is dead. If the phone has a removable battery, remove the battery let it powered down press and hold the power button for 3 seconds while the battery is out. Replace the battery in the phone and then try to put it in recovery mode. See if you can perform a cache partition wipe. I doubt this will help, but it is worth a shot!
