"Unable to open connection to server"?

I am currently using Huawei S7 slim tablet and have been trying to activate my exchange email account but I constantly get this message "Unable to open connection to server" Is there something wrong with the tablet? Does it support "exchange"? Please help as I cannot access even my contact address book since it is linked to my exchange email account.

Have you tried downloading the Microsoft Office Outlook app to see if you can get it to connect to that?
