I upgraded to marshmallow and now the microphone button for speech to text doesn't show on my keyboard. Where is it?

    Hi

You can try going to: Settings> Device>Applications>Application Manager>Scroll over to "All">Scroll down to Messages>and clear cache.

Also, do you see a "gear" icon next to the keyboard's space bar? If so, press and hold for a second to see if the microphone option window opens.

    Hope this helps!

I also did the Marshmallow update today and the microphone is missing from the Samsung keyboard. I have Google Voice Typing turned on, cleared cache, reset the keyboard settings, installed Google keyboard and used it then went back to Samsung keyboard, still no microphone.

Ok figured it out....hold down the emoticon button and you will get options to use the mic, clipboard, emoticons or settings. Then pick the mic and it will be back. Stupid update.
