Samsung G4: Can't download apps because of (incorrect!) storage space

A

AC Question

When I try to download and install an app from Google Play, I often get the message that there's "Insufficient Storage".

However, the Storage screen reports that I have over 1.8 GB free, and 170 MB free on the SD card. The apps I'm trying to download are, at most, 60 MB.

The same thing happened when I tried to copy files to the main storage. Even though they're smaller than the available space, it says there's not enough space.

(Also, the phone seems to want to install the apps on the SD card in preference to main storage. Is there a way to change that?)

Hi

Try entering Recover Mode and do a wipe of the Cache Partition, see if that helps.

Google: "how to enter recovery mode on, Galaxy S4.

Hope this helps!
