I have a wifi only Galaxy Tab S2, which has integrated GPS/GLONASS. If I were out in the middle of nowhere and had a mobile wifi hotspot from a cellphone company, would activating GPS+wifi on the tablet and connecting to the hotspot provide any noticeable improvement in location accuracy?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to Android Central!

I would think so as long as your phone is locked on to the current location and it is updated to the hotspot.

Correct - your location is the location seen by the phone's GPS. You could connect a phone with millimeter GPS to the hotspot and you'll still have around 10 meter accuracy. (Millimeter GPS gives your location to about 1 millimeter.)
