Why doesn't mobile data work?

so recently i bought a sprint samsung galaxy s5 from america (im british) and when i put a sim in i can make calls and send messages but i cant use mobile data. Also mobile data is turned on, and i dont know if this helps but my dad also brought a sprint note 5 but his mobile data works. please help!

It could be the model of the phone that you bought isn't compatible in the UK. Have you tried speaking to your network to see if they can assist?
