Since accepting the major firmware upgrade recently, my Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini no longer connects automatically to my home WIFI when I turn on my phone. I need to re-enter my Telstra password each time. Can you please suggest a fix, or does Samsung intend distributing a patch?

Try booting the phone in to recovery mode and wiping the cache partition.
How to Clear the Cache Partition:
Use the power key to turn off the Galaxy S5 mini
Hold down the Power, Home and Volume Up buttons until you feel the handset vibrate, then release the Power
Release the other two buttons when you see the recovery screen and use the volume down button to select wipe cache partition.
Confirm using the Power button
