Hi! I have a Droid Turbo that I have been using as a HotSpot. I have a Verizon upgrade coming...are there phones that are better or worse for HotSpot use? (Droid or otherwise)

And are there any apps or tweaks that can make the incoming signal clearer or the outgoing HotSpot Wi-Fi stronger? My cell coverage is extremely marginal, already running it through a booster.

    Thanks

Nominally no. (IOW, one phone of a particular model may be better or worse [by a little] than another phone of the same model.)

If your cell coverage is marginal you need a femtocell or a better booster (the Verizon/Samsung booster is almost useless). If your wifi coverage is bad you need to move closer to the phone. A phone is not a wireless router, don't expect it to act like one. It'll give coverage to a few phones within a few feet of it (assuming your carrier allows you to use it).
