Got a Verizon msg that says I've used about 75% of my 3GB data for the month. I can increase my plan for more money but don't need to. I recently went out of the country and purchased a international plan for that period only. I may have turned off, or turned on a setting that uses more data than I normally need.
    Help!

Well, you can set a hard cap on mobile data in the mobile data settings... or turn off background data, or at least background data for the apps that consume the most.

Use the 'data saver' setting on Chrome.

Disable notifications and auto-updates on apps that 'phone home' a bunch.

Go into your data settings and examine which apps/functions use the most mobile data and restrict them as much as you are willing to do.
