My Nexus 9 responded to the April 'maintenance update' that it is 'Corrupt' and entered an endless boot loop. Deleting data did not solve this, nor did 'Factory Restore', so I guess I need to put a new OS on it. I have a good recipe for doing this, but the first step is to 'go to settings' and unlock the oem(?) so that loading an OS is allowed, which I of course cannot do. The command suggested, ".\fastboot oem unlock" responds that this is not allowed, of course. So my question is what command can I send to override this lock??
If I cannot to this I will be forced to order a flashy new Pixel C, with wireless charging keyboard folio! I have the order keyed up and waiting only to push the 'Buy Now' button. Please save me, don't make me push that button. What command do I need??

    Hi,

Did you make any progress with this? I am in exactly the same situation. I can follow the instructions to install an image but can't get the O/S to boot so can't unlock the device.
