USB OTG cable keeps disconnecting in Moto X Pure?

I bought an OTG cable on eBay. The charging doesn't work at all, and the USB connection is jiggly/unstable... at best. Should I buy a new cable or is this a problem with Moto?

Sounds like a bad cable. If they won't replace it, [Review] LDesign OTG Adapter - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com is pretty good. (You also get a couple of SD slots - one full size, one micro [only 1 can be used at a time].)
