There was an alert under Google that appeared on my screen. When I followed the prompt to save my battery, the Link changed from Google to something else. This made me suspicious. Is there really a virus alert from Google. I can't find "Contact us for Google"

It will be malware. Report it to Google. Also, see this:

    1. Viruses don't affect batteries (except that when they run, they use some battery power, the same as any other app [a virus is just an app that does thing you don't want done]).

    2. Google itself doesn't send virus notices.
