Why can't I send texts anymore after updating to Marshmallow?

A

AC Question

I updated my phone, Galaxy s5, last Monday. Ever since, I have been unable to send regular SMS messages. I get a pop-up that says "Error 425. Unable to send message" I can send MMS messages and receive all messages. It is really irritating to have to attach a picture to each text I send out. How do I fix this issue?

I have the same problem. I tried going through Boost Mobile tech support and Samsung tech support, and nobody could figure it out. So I retumed my phone and got a replacement Samsung Galaxy S5. As soon as I upgraded to Marshmallow, I lost the ability to text again. Can anyone please help?!!!

All I could suggest is a factory reset at this point. There appears to be something wrong with the update you guys are receiving (carrier probably culprit since they modify stuff after Samsung already tested it to work properly).
