If i am creating a backup using TWRP, What should i backup

Can i get away with only backing up system? the data on my phone is a very large file and i do not have space to back it up. If i ever had to restore my phone can i get away with only loading the system and not the data? what would happen?

Hi and Welcome to AC!

Sure, you can get by with just a system backup. I'd suggest you are backing up your data somewhere else though. If you ever have to flash the stock files for your phone, it will wipe everything, including data.
