I am trying to install Android 4.1 on a Windows 10 tablet. I was able to follow the instructions of a tutorial which suggested creating a partition using gparted and then
installing 4.4. I was successful in installing android for the first time but when I tried to boot it, it just showed a flickering android symbol and hanged.

I followed the same procedure again to install an older version (4.1) and this time, the
tablet does not even boot from the live USB which I created using rufus.

It says "Press ESC in 1 seconds to skip startup.nsh, or any other key to continue" and then goes into commandline shell. Can anybody please help me out in figuring this issue?

    Thanks.

Are you installing an x86 version of Android, or one written for an Android device? The Windows tablet is almost certainly an 8x6 (or x64) device, and won't run native Android.
