How do I reinstall the icon for Facebook on my home page?

While I was using Facebook on my S5, FB downloaded an up date that wiped out my screen quick link or icon. My apps show that FB is still loaded on the phone but I cannot recover the icon which the Facebook update removed! I am frustrated and not very hapy to say the least. Thank you for your time.

If you go into your app drawer, is the Facebook icon there? If so, long-press on the icon and continue holding, then drag it to the home screen where you want it to be then release.
