My phone deleted the folder that had all music & images for various built in apps. The files are still there, but the original apps say no files. With "OI File Manager" I can find them, but can't get them back into the apps to use them properly. One path to the files is: Home/storage/emulated/Download. How can I get the apps("Music", "Gallery") to play/show the files again? I moved the music files into: Home/storage/emulated/Music, but "Music" still showed "No Files".
    Please help.
    thanks,
    Scott

Restart the phone or run media.Re.Scan. Moving a picture or music file doesn't tell the media system that it was moved.

Thanks, but restarting was the 1st thing I tried. The reviews for media.Re.Scan seemed too iffy, so I didn't want to download. I finally gave up & uploaded all media files to "Drive", then did a "Factory Data Reset". Downloaded the files from "Drive". Big hassle, but all is well now.
