Voice Recognition Spelling Out Punctuation

[AC Question]

When I first stated using android phones about four years ago until about three months ago, I never had a problem with punctuation. But for the last few months across two different phones, it almost always will spell out "comma" and "exclamation point." However, it does not spell out "period" and "question mark." I have searched the forum, and any problems people have had involve all punctuation. I'm stumped here. Any ideas?

Yes, something apparently changed because I experienced the same thing you have. What I have found is if you speak the punctuation immediately it will do it correctly, but if you pause even the slightest bit it will spell it out as a word instead.
