How to migrate from IOS to Android?

A

AC Question

I have been an IOS user for a while now, but I am considering changing my iphone for a Samsung S7. The thing is that I dont want to loose a lot of the info. Do you know how to migrate without losing all? I am talking about notes, contacts, photos, and some apps, do I have to download all the apps again??

You can sync your contacts to an email account so that when you log in, they are there. You can download a notes app like evernote or onenote and start putting your notes there. I believe both of those apps are also available on the web so you could copy and paste from icloud. Photos you can download google photos and sync all photos to that. Google photos has unlimited storage and it's free. You can also do onedrive. Both of these are also available on the web. You will have to redownload any app that you have and repurchase.

Notes will be a challenge. Photos - install the Photos app from Google and sync them to there. Contacts, get them synced to a Google account and you'll have them on any Android device signed in to that Google account. Apps - sadly, you will start from scratch unless the developer has a cross-platform sync through an account on their server/cloud.
