How to transfer video from my S6 to my macbook using ANDROID FILE TRANSFER

*Hello. Im sure this question has been asked before so please excuse me for repeating. I did a brief search and didn't find the exact issue that I'm currently having.

I've used the app "android file transfer" before to transfer my files from my android device to my macbook. Pictures and video, no problem, until today.

All of my photos transfer normally, but I cant figure out how to transfer my videos? The videos aren't even visible but the photos just automatically pop up when I connect via usb.

Is there an option I'm missing somewhere within the app? Is there a different app that will work better? Im trying to open with "I-photo" once transferred. Thanks!

Find the photos in the phone using a file manager. If they're in an area that only the owner and root can read, you can't get to them that way, you'll have to have the phone rooted, and use a file transfer program that asks for root privilege.
