Use the SIM card in replacement phone?

I received a replacement for my broken iPhone. Do i use the SIM card in the replacement phone? Or do i use the old SIM card from my broken phone?

The carrier has the old SIM card listed as the one for your number. If it works, use it - it's easier than going to them and having them change the records to show the new card as the one for your number.
