My original charger broke so I switched to a different brand charger it worked perfectly until one day I was wearing my headphones and accidentally dropped my Samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition while charging, after that I saw a red cross on the battery icon over the charging symbol. I unplugged it and plugged it in again, making sure all the cables were plugged in right. Now all that shows up is a red cross. I tried restarting my device, and I tried the settings, too. All that it says is "not charging" how can I fix this problem without having to buy a new charger?

There may be damage, such as to the USB port connector.
