I want to sell my phone but I keep seeing how awful android is at securing personal data even though you factory reset. I see to encrypt the phone before factory resetting but I didn't do that. So what am I to do? How can I be 100% sure no one is going to try and dig for my personal information? Should I just shoot my phone?

Is there any software or apps that will guarantee a clean wipe of personal data?

Just reflash the ROM - that'll destroy everything.

    Thanks for your response!

I guess I should have mentioned that my phone is un-rooted. Knowing that ...should I still try this method? And you you point me in the direction of steps I need to take. Much appreciated!
