"enterprise management client" What is it & does it need to be running in background?

Searching through the "running" things in the background, I want to disable the ones that I don't need to save battery life. Did this on my HTC One M8 and ran like a charm. Battery life was extended by a day. Came across this "Enterprise Management Client" and have no idea what it is or its purpose. Can't find any info on the internet either. Can I disable it?
