S7 Edge. Failed to download attachment from multimedia message. try again later

[AC Question]

Hello, i have this problem. "failed to download attachment from multimedia message. try again later" on my samsung galaxy s7 edge
I`ve changed the default Messages App, I`ve conected on my Mobile Data and same message over and over again. It only appears when im disconecting from Mobile Data.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums. Do you know what message might be causing it? You can try deleting that message or just it's contents and see if that fixes it.

Deleted all message that might be causing it and still nothing

Have you tried to clear the cache? You can do this either by the messaging app itself, or you can clear most of the device by going to settings>storage, cached data. It will prompt a confirm box after you click on it. Click Ok. You won't lose any personal info.

I've fixed it, i connected in Mobile data and sended from another iphone one new MMS. After i got the last MMS i also get rid of the old one. Thanks for help

I am experiencing it too. I have done everything like clear cache, samsung even reset my phone. Still nothing happens. It's so annoying when it keeps on popping up. Any suggestions? Thank you so much.

Search in the message app for the multimedia message. If u can't find anything, let a friend send u multimedia message and see all the keywords in this message. Then search for these keywords in the meesage app, u should see the message u just recieved from your friend and the old message(s) that keep giving u the annoying popup. Long press on these messages and boom delete it. It works for me !

I tried that, AlDawoo, but I'm not sure which keywords you are talking about that I have to look for and where to find them. Anyway, it happened that after I got the new MMS and opened it, the message box stopped coming. I deleted the new MMS and still the message box stopped coming. So I thought it was solved. But now, about an hours or so later,, i pick up my phone, and the message box is back with irritating regularity. So I'll try again, but I need to know about the keywords thing, so I can follow your steps. Thanks.

I fixed the problem on my S6 phone and its working fin now. The error message kepted poping up "fail to download attachment from multimedia. Try again later". I had two phones and what i did is just send pictures through both of the phones with (mobile data on) and that should fix the problem.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what it is you did to resolve the problem. I'm experiencing this as well and would like to try and correct it.

Could you try and explain it again.

The reason I'm confused is MMS doesn't usually go over a Data connection, so I don't get what data has to do with it.

Fixed.
Go to messages/mms messages then install all your carrier mms settings that you were originally sent when you first set up your phone, once you've installed them simply delete the messages.. Job done

Are you talking about the stock SMS/MMS app, or another messaging app? MMS requires mobile data -- is yours on?
