Hi, have you tried changing the ring tone to one that lasts longer or disabling your voice mail?

Unfortunately changing the ringtone will not make his phone ring longer. Contact your phone carrier for assistance with altering the amount of rings your phone makes before going to voicemail.

If you are with Verizon, you may have a tough time getting them to change it. Other carriers shouldn't give you any issues altering it though.
