I can see my phone in Windows 10 File Explorer when connected with a USB cable, but it shows only three folders - Android, Samsung and Music. I cannot drill down into the folders, explorer says "no files". I am in MPT mode when I connect. The Windows Phone Companion app sees the phone, but cannot find any folders other than the three above. There are a bunch of icons that look like external disks, but I cannot drill down to see their contents. I did not have this problem with my old Note 2. Any suggestions?

Because the folders are owned by, or have read permission for, someone other than everyone. I doubt you can get into the storage system, so your only out is to reflash the ROM (losing everything you downloaded to it).
