why is my phone saying " data connection on "

[AC Question]

I was messing around with my phone one day because it was really slow. And I pressed something which I cannot remember, now my phone says " data connection on " everyone I reboot or take it out of lock mode. It never did it before and its really annoying. I don't want to do factory settings because I have my phone set up the easy I like it already. Please help :-(
