So I've had my Galaxy S7 edge for a while now, many apps installed with multiple system settings changed with developer options enabled and I wanted to know if I should factory reset my device before inserting a new 200GB SanDisk microSD card? Is it better to reset the device if it isn't compulsory? Or is it fine just to insert my new 200GB microSD as soon as it arrives. I will be setting up the microSD as internal.

    Thanks for the help!

If you do a factory reset you lose all your data and all your installed apps - so it's better to never reset the phone unless absolutely necessary. I also wouldn't set the card as internal - while it may be easier to move apps to it, if the card goes bad, you lose ALL the apps installed to it (and you have no control over what installs where). Use the card as it was meant to be used - as data storage - install it as portable. (And, if you can find an article, read why Samsung delayed in adding that function - it's meant for tiny phones, those with 4GB and 8GB internal, using a relatively small card, it's NOT a way of installing 200GB of apps in a 32GB phone.)
