Is it fine to use a Galaxy S6 charger for the Galaxy S7 edge?

As the title suggests, I've had this Galaxy S6 charger since the launch day of the Galaxy S6 and use it frequently to charge other devices. It is the official adaptive fast charger. I have the original Galaxy S7 edge charger in the box but would rather keep it in the box and use the Galaxy S6 charger instead. Is it the same?

Yes. As long as the charger OUTPUT is around 5.0 to 5.3 Volts, and the plug on the cable matches the device, it's fine. Is it the same? No. But all you care about is what it's like electrically, and the 5 Volt charger is the same.
