I have an android sat nav in my car and I'm trying to get it connected to a parking sensor Bluetooth device.

When I go to settings->Bluetooth and search devices it appears as a device. I click yes to the connect notification and nothing happens.

Using a friends phone, it connects on Bluetooth and asks for a PIN number. I think the problem is the keypad is not appearing to enter the pin code.

I have tried plugging a keyboard in and entering the code, but no difference. The sat nav is running 4.4.4 and my friends phone is running 6.0. Could that be the difference?

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks
    Mark

It could be the version of Bluetooth. It could also be that Bluetooth is just a pipe - it specifies HOW data is going to get from one end to the other. It doesn't specify WHAT data will be handled, so your phone may not be sending the data that the nav is looking for.
