Bluetooth headset media drops connection

A

AC Question

I listen to music or movies through my Bluetooth headset, the Motorola Whisper, since the upgrade to Marshmallow my phone, Motorola Droid Turbo 2, keeps dropping the media portion of the connection to my headset only when switching between wireless to 4G and back. I can duplicate the issue over and over just by disabling the wireless.

Interesting part is the phone does not recognize that the media option is not connected, the check box still appears as if it were connected. I have to disable and re-enable the media option on whatever headset I use to get it to work again.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why and what can be done to correct this issue? Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Wi-fi can sometimes interfere with Bluetooth, if you're using the 2.4 GHz band. Does it ever happen when you're only on mobile data? Or if you're using 5 GHz wi-fi (if you have it available)?
