    Bought my grandson an endoscope not knowing his Apple phone wouldn't work. Can somebody help with what model android phone will work. Bought one but it doesn't work. Help please

    needs a device with OTG support (On the Go cable) that also allows flash drives or a mouse to connect and function via a standard sze USB port.
    Many mid or low tier phones don't have OTG support, but older flagship models do, Samsung S4, Note 2 upwards, LG G3, HTC 8.

    This linked device also mentions the phone camera needs to be UVC compatible (Universal Video) but I think most modern devices are.

    If you find a phone you like in your price range, Google for the specifications, GSM Arena or Android Central sites are good, and look at Connectivity - USB : if it mentions OTG, and usually MHL support to connect a tv, that should work. OR it will say USB Host, which means the same.

    However I would check with the endoscope maker or on Amazon, if they have one. I think some need a separate power supply cable, but I'm not sure.
