I can't mount SD card or USB on my tablet

I can't or my tablet running andriod5.2 won't let me install sdcard or mount USB,i go to my storage settings it tells me I'm running out of storage further down tells me to mount SD or USB but when I try nothing happens,my tablet is Irulu x11 android 5.2 can someone help please

Nothing will "happen". When you mount an SD card, you should see it in a file manager, and be able to move data files to it. (Don't count on it for apps - that's one of the worst ideas anyone ever came up with.) When you plug it into a computer with the USB cable again, nothing will happen on the tablet, but on the computer you'll see the tablet with one or two folders - Phone for the tablet (maybe "Tablet" or some other name, it's Phone for phones) and, if you have an SD card in the tablet, Card. You can use the computer's file manager (Explorer in Windows) to move files (and copy any important ones to the computer itself, as a backup).
