My Moto 360 Gen 2 is three days old. I first put the watch on charging pad to gain 100% battery life. After 20 hours on charging pad, the battery life increased to 65%. Gave up on trying to charge more life. In first three hours of use, battery life decreased from 65% to 43% with minimum data traffic. Are these symptoms of a defective battery? If so, what can be done?

Wireless charging is inherently slower than usb. Have you tried to charge with the unit the phone came with? If you're running marshmallow, you may have a fast change option....

3 hours, 22% with minimal traffic? (If you mean like a minute or two total.) Yes, either a defective battery or a defective watch.
