AC Question
Hi there - I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo and want to connect it via a USB cable to my computer and backup all the data on the phone to the PC.
With my previous phone, the S3, it was easy enough to use Kies or Kies 3 to do this. But now when I install Kies 3 and connect the S5 I get a message telling me to use "SmartSwitch" instead. Kies 3 then refuses to recognise the S5 on my PC.
I looked into Smart Switch and it seems to be a backup via some sort of Samsung account and I have no idea where it saves things.
Here's the thing folks: I hate cloud drives and all that. I want to have everything saved onto a hard drive. But it seems that Kies 3 will not work with the S5.
Does anyone know a way round this problem? How can I do a transfer of all my phone data to my PC via a USB cable?
