    Hello.

They would be on what is referred to as a Clipboard, which is a temporary area of ram memory, not an app or a file system. Most devices hold the last copied, cut or link saved item, even after pasting on a text / input field, until it is replaced by the next piece to be clipped.

Everyone should install the Clipper app or similar from the Play Store which is an app and stores items in the main memory.

The free version stores 20 until one more replaces another.

FORTUNATELY on most Samsung's, Touchwiz has a Clipboard access
function for several held clips / images. Either long press a text entry field (I used the Internet address entry box) until Clipboard appears. You can also use a clipboard icon on the stock Samsung keyboard. Recently released models may have changed.

From my experience with any device, the clipboard item/s are not lost when you shut down. They are still in ram when you reboot, as are the recent apps list. I never had an explanation for that.

BTW if you save an actual image it will be in the Downloads app.
