Htc 10 email access via bluetooth in bmw

AC Question

Hi,

Anyone got their HTC 10 to show email in their bmw idrive interface? Worked perfectly with m8, but only sms since using 10. I'm assuming that mail app isn't allowing bluetooth Map profile access? Any suggestions?

Thanks, Steve

I got my phone yesterday and so far I am very disappointed. Email in my BMW no longer works and I can't find a fix... I seem to use this more than I had thought and it's making me want to go back to my M8 which remains an amazing phone in comparison

Same problem. Email in BMW worked form me like charm on HTC one, 7, 8 and 9 and mini. Doesn't work on 10 at all.
My phone is HTC unlocked on ATT network. ATT doesn't sell HTC 10 and would like to find out if the problem is specific to certain phone network versions.

Same issue here, can't access email in my BMW office, just text messages. It's disappointing and frustrating, feels like going backwards. Also, I have clear cache in my email app every day now, otherwise it just decides it can't send email. I know it's a new product so hopefully they will come up with some fixes with the next system update....

Bluetooth is a method of moving data, it doesn't specify what data, or what data format, gets moved - so most car-phone pairs still don't give full Bluetooth connectivity. (It's like 10 years ago, when you couldn't send a text picture to someone on another carrier because each one used a different standard.)

Eventually the industry will work things out and any phone will do all functions on any radio.
