    Hello. If you don't have a Read Report setting in the messaging app, the device or carrier / network doesn't support it.

    (I don't think many do anymore)

    The recipient would also have to agree of course.

    And that only means that the message was opened, not that it was read. Return receipts are really useless in texts and emails. (They're useless in snail mail too - the recipient can sign the receipt, then burn the mail, but he can be held legally responsible for having received it.)
